Mak 90 Jupiter GRS

Whilst this is not the finest image of Jupiter you'll ever see, it gives a good idea of what you can see through a small Mak 90 telescope. Here i managed to pick up the great red spot and the main cloud bands. There's something awesome about seeing it with your own eyes and getting your own image of it, knowing just how far away it is.

Shot with a Skywatcher 90mm Maksutov Cassegrain telescope on the Virtuoso tracking mount. I used a 7mm plossl eyepiece to give me around 180x magnification. A 30 second video clip with my attached D5000, aligned and stacked with 'Registax6', then cropped and adjusted curves with 'Gimp'
