The east end of the Sumner Tunnel facade is adorned with bronze reliefs of two flying angels, each extending her arms and holding out an automobile in her hands. The angels fly in opposite directions, their wings extended behind them and their hair and drapery are blown back by the wind. Between the two angels is a circular relief framed by oak leaves and below this is an inscription in bronze letters.
