Kyoto, Japan - Shin-en Garden in Heian-jingu Shrine
One of the most spectacular gardens of Kyoto in Japan. The garden called Shinen takes a water stroll style. Ogawa Jihei, a renowned Japanese garden designer of the Meiji period (1868-1912), took more than twenty years for its completion. When I visited the garden, azaleas were fully blooming and put colours here and there around a pond. One of my best favourite gardens of Kyoto! Other images of the garden, Shinen, with cherry blossoms on my flickr stream: Shinen with Cherry Blossoms.
