Hot Steel Slab Car, HO Gauge Railcar, Entered in the Model Category
This photo shows a Florida East Coast Railway Society member's HO Scale Model of a Hot Steel Slab Car (Railcar). I photographed this Model during an N-Trak operating session in our conference room at the Miami Airport Embassy Suites Hotel. The Top of the Photo shows an actual Railcar, the Center of the Photo shows the HO Scale Model and the Bottom shows the Members Entry Form.
The Operating Layout in our Embassy Suits Hotel Conference Room is an N-Trak Modular Model Railroad, however, this member's Model Entry was an HO Gauge Railcar. This Hot Steel Slab Car was entered in the "Members Choice Contest" in the "Models" Category. The Winner in each Category is chosen by FECRS Members casting their Ballots for each Category of the Contest. I framed the three pieces in Green Rectangles to emphasize any differences between the Real Life Railcar and they are equivalent in all respects.
N-Trak is a model railroad assembled with individual modules to form an operating N Scale Operating Model Railroad that can be quickly assembled for Shows, Displays, Festivals and Conventions. The standard module is two feet wide, and four feet long. See:
