Phyla nodiflora (L.) Greene. Verbenaceae. CN: Vasuka, Guo jiang teng, Busbusi (Tag.), Capeweed, Carpetweed, Fogfruit, Frogfruit, Matgrass, Turkey-tangle, Turkey-tangle frogfruit, Purple lippia. Pantropics distribution; widely naturalized and believed native to the neotropics. A creeping, minutely strigose herb. Stems extend from 15 to 30 cm, much branched and rooting at the nodes. Habitat - sandy places near the sea, waste ground. Widely used in folkloric medicines in many cultures.
