Peugeot 205 T16 Grand Raid Paris-Dakar - 1987

Immediately after the ban of the Rally Group B, Peugeot developed the 205 T16 to compete in the Grand-Raid races. Being able to carry enough fuel for 800 km without refueling, adapting the suspension to the specific ground and tuning the engine to make it more suitable for the very special conditions prevailing in the Paris-Dakar. Such was the challenge. This vehicle, driven by Ari Vatanen won the Paris-Alger-Dakar after a race of 13.000 km of which 8.315 were off-road specifics rounds.
