Trinity Parish, established 1821
“In 1905 Trinity received a signed L.C. Tiffany Studios Stained Glass Window as a gift offering from J.H. Hewson. The window depicts Cornelius, a Roman Centurion, talking with an Angel of God in a vision that led to Peter going to Caesarea as referenced in Acts Chapter 10. The Tiffany Window has been on display for more than 100 years above the altar in a portion of the parish known as St. Peter's Chapel. Due to the deterioration of the lead that secures the glass of the window, the lifespan of which is between 80 and 100 years, major restoration work is required.”
The window was restored and reinstalled. As in many Tiffany windows enamel work is minimal. In this case confined to the case and hands of the figures. A opaque glass covers the angel meant to give a misty non corporeal impression.
