Silver Birch

Autumn is slowly approachng, the lush overbearing greens are slowly being replaced with subtle yellows and oranges.

The sun is lower in the sky, sunrise sunset times are moving towards being more sociable and the unsufferable midges will soon be gone for another year. What is there not to like about this time of the year.

With two big trips planned this winter, one over the new year and the other in February to areas that although both beautiful in their own right are completely different in their character, location and the landscape they offer so really excited about that.

This picture is an oldie from last March just to get in the mood for what I regard as the best part of the year along with winter. Didn't really like it much back in March but liking it now, funny how tastes change over time.
