Another of the Nordmende Carmen radio in the den. I keep coming back to this subject. I've always found these complex tuning dials fascinating. By today's standards of RF spectrum management they seem rather naive but for the operator of the set they would have simplified the business of locating a station.
The BBC's Third programme is called out on the dial, and London which was one of the seven regions of the BBC Home Service. The Third Programme was launched in 1957 and this dates the set to that period.
