Recently we drove to the lochan we had discovered in the middle of nowhere in Dumfries and Galloway. Once again we had the place to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There was a difference from our previous visit though - there was a lot less clear water due to the huge growth of various types of vegetation. This meant that the birds were often distant or completely out of range. It made photography much more difficult but I was able to get these photos. I think the green foliage actually helps the images.
