49' Chevy Pickup Under Star Trails
This 49' Chevy pickup was shot in complete darkness. The whole shoot took 5 hours to complete. It was assembled in Photoshop CS5. I set all the equipment up 1.5 hours before dark. Shooting tethered for this part I can check each exposure to see if it was enough. I only had 1 shot at this and had to make it count. I lit each part of the truck individually with an LED light.. The grill, hood emblem, door, tire, rim, step and so on until I got every inch of the truck. There were 55 separate exposures for the truck alone. This took 2 hours. Once I had all the parts locked in I untethered and setup the intervalometer for the star trails. I let that run 2 more hours capturing frames every 33 seconds. All the RAW files were processed in Lightroom 3 and assembled in Photoshop CS5.
