Pileated Woodpecker
This is the first time photo of the Pileated Woodpecker for me. I accidentally found this spot this morning when I stopped my car to pick up a perch for the Lazuli Bunting. I returned at this time because I knew it was too dark when I first saw the babies popping their heads out begging for food. I stayed and waited and several hours later both parents showed up around 1:00. I like this one in the morning shade but I'll post the afternoon feed as well.
