Cotton Gin Building, Boone Hall, Mount Pleasant, SC

Built in the 1850s, this building originally was home to the cotton gin used for cotton grown on and near the plantation. The machinery originally within the building is long gone, and it has since served as guest quarters, a restaurant, and a gift shop. The building has languished in a state of disuse and dilapidation since Hurricane Hugo did damage to it in 1989.
