Bookseller's printed description of a copy of an incunable German translation by Heinrich Steinhöwel of Giovanni Boccaccio's De mulieribus claris, printed by Johannes Zainer at Ulm ca. 1474 (cf. ISTC ib00720000), excised from catalog of sale no. 1336, Incunabula and early printed books ... of the late Carl J. Ulmann, sold by order of his family (New York: Parke-Bernet, 1952), with 2 ms. notes (1 each in pencil and ink). This copy was previously owned by Carl J. Ulmann and purchased for the Penn Libraries on 15 April 1952 through the Rosenbach Company, Philadelphia, at the sale held at Parke-Bernet Galleries, New York, 15-16 April 1952.
