Redwoods at Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park
My trip to the redwoods began by flying to Idaho. I did not want to carry any more equipment with me than I could comfortably carry on board, so I limited myself to 2 lenses - a Canon 50mm/ f1.4 and a Tamron 70-300mm/f4-5.6. The 50mm stayed on my camera during the entire time I walked and drove through the redwoods. Perhaps a super wide-angle would have yielded better results. However, I doubt that the majesty and immensity of the redwoods can really be captured by any still camera. It was loads of fun to try, though! This is the first in a series of shots I will post over the next few days. Thanks to all who visit, comment, and fave. And if you have visited and photographed the redwoods, I'd be happy to hear about the equipment you used.
