Brickchester Central Station - A Victorian influenced train station.
Here is my interpretation of a Victorian era train station. I've taken different elements from some of my more local stations (Mainly Newcastle Central Station) on the east coast main line which runs services from Londong Kings cross to Edinburgh and up to the north of Scotland.
I mainly wanted to try and create a curved roof but realising the scale was getting out of hand I've went with a cross section. I stopped just before the windows!
Generally in most of my source material the end of the roof will join onto a building. I've went with something a little different here, a local station of mine - Darlington has a similar design where the end of the canopy is not built into the structure of a wall but stops before. There is a flat window roof behind the main canopy but isn't seen easily on this photo which keeps the minifigs nice and dry!
There is also a footbridge and an improved railway carriage design on my last effort. It has been technically challenging but fun all the same!
Regards!
