He purchased the Mitton manor Bredon from Katherine's brother Fulke Greville in 1571 who had inherited from his mother Elizabeth Willoughby.

Son John inherited the manor which passed to his son Edward who with his brother Richard and others conveyed the manor in 1638–9 to Thomas Lord Coventry and others
