Craster Harbour, Northumberland

I love black and white images and in particular black and white images in a square format (inspired by Steve Gosling's work www.stevegoslingphotography.co.uk/) so here's one from my two day workshop in Northumberland last weekend.

Craster is a little fishing harbour village located thirteen miles south of Bamburgh. It has a little fantastic kipper smokehouse where you can buy the famous 'Craster Kipper' as well as a harbour that has a few boats lining its banks such as these two.

I like the inclusion of the harbour wall in the background, situated high enough to stay clear of the boats and with little detail in the sky, it made for a strikingly simple image.

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.
