Stagecoach South 18513 - GX06DXL

Route 69 is one of the last common vestiges of the Trident with Stagecoach South. Yesterday, three were on the 69 along with an Enviro400.

Pictured in Wickham, here is former Coastliner700 18513 arriving en-route for Winchester. The 69 operates hourly Monday to Saturday from Fareham to Winchester, connecting many villages and small towns. There's also a Sunday shuttle down to Bishops Waltham, which has been diverted to serve Marwell Zoo on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Wickham is a delightful village, formerly a station on the Meon Valley line from Fareham to Alton. It has a large traditional square. Unfortunately, the bus services are now fewer than a decade or so ago, with Stagecoach's 69 the main route, supplemented by First's tendered route 20 to Fareham, which only operates 3 times a day on Saturdays.
