1967 Pontiac Parisienne 4 door Hardtop

GM Pontiacs were generally produced in the US. Canada also offered a range of Pontiacs from 1955-70. Bodies were similar to, but not interchangeable with the U.S. Catalina. Canadian models were named Strato Chief, Laurentian and Pontiac Parisienne.

In the 60s right-hand drive Pontiacs and Chevrolets were made in Canada, and shipped Australia in CKD form, and to New Zealand in SKD form. From 1965/68 they used a right hand drive version of the 65 Impala dash made of fibreglass, not steel.

In Australia, from 1965, GMH commenced assembling CKD versions of the Pontiac Parisienne and Chevrolet Impala four door Hardtops, while continuing to assemble conventional Impala, Bel Air and Parisienne Sedans. GMH supplied the wiring loom, side glass, interior trim, heater and tyres.

Todd Motors in New Zealand, also assembled the 4 door Impala and Dominion Motors assembled the Pontiac Laurentian, from SKD kits, bodies already painted and trimmed in Canada.
