Nine new U.S. Department of Agricultureâs (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) attaches Lisa Ahramjian, Dan Archibald, Chris Bielecki, Alex Blamberg, Kyle Bonsu, Megan Davidow, Jennifer Lappin, Garrett McDonald, and Jasmine Osinski, will be sworn in as Foreign Service Officers, during a ceremony in USDA headquarters, in Washington, D.C., on July 7, 2017. The new officers will begin their Foreign Service careers working as agricultural attachés at U.S. embassies in nine countries. âAs the eyes, ears and voice for U.S. farmers and ranchers globally, our attaché corps serves a vital role in carrying out the FAS mission. Knowing the dedication of these new Foreign Service officers, Iâm confident they will make significant contributions during their careers to advancing and serving U.S. agricultural priorities overseas,â said FAS Acting Administrator Holly Higgins. âBecoming a Foreign Service officer is a competitive and rigorous process and these nine individuals have successfully demonstrated that they have the talent, skills and determination to represent the interests of American agriculture throughout the world.â More information about FAS and its work to advance U.S. agricultural interests around the globe is available at www.fas.usda.gov.
