Vintage Astor Garden Shears or hand mower!
Garden shears with a difference,
Made by the Flexa Lawn Mower Co Ltd of Woking, and dating to the first half of the 20th century.
Presumably for cutting those areas of grass that you just cannot reach with a mower!
Another of those strange, quirky but ingenious items of British engineering.
