Bench Monday - Youth Group Edition

I have wanted to do a Bench Monday dedicated to our youth group for awhile now but whenever I would take the camera, I would forget to do the pic or something else would happen! =/ But I finally did it! =)

 

Here's a little background...my husband is the youth pastor at our church...the church considers it part-time but for those of you that have or know anything about teenagers, you know there is nothing "part-time" about it! =O I stay at home with our two kids and my husband works full-time managing the computer department at the Honda Plant here in town. We plan a weekly youth service and also other extra events with the youth. Anyway, we have been youth pastors for 7 years at our church and we love it! This picture is just a sampling of the many youth that come through the doors each week. We average 50-60 teenagers each week. I made an annoucement and asked if anyone wanted to help and I had many volunteers but this is all that would fit on the bench. =( I told them to only volunteer if they didn't mind the bench collapsing and them all falling to the floor...b/c I had no idea how many this bench held! =/ Hahaha But it worked and it didn't break. Thankfully. =)

 

I told them that no one would see their faces but I can't help but include the one below so you can see them! I am looking forward to using some of the youth again in future bench pics! =) YAY for people EXCITED about having their picture taken! =) HBM!!!
