Shoshonea pulvinata - Shoshone carrot

This mat-forming or cespitose forb is most common on open gravelly limestone slopes at or near the top of Heart Mountain. It grows in open understory of Douglas Fir and limber pine. It has not been observed in the sagebrush steppe surrounding Heart Mountain.
