Peony Tattoo

This is my newest tattoo. All of my tattoos before this one were for other people. This one is for me. It's a flower called a peony. The peony dates back thousands of years. It is often depicted as a medical or healing flower. It's named after Paeon, a physician to the Greek gods. He used this flower to heal wounds that the gods recieved. Paeon was "saved" from the fate of dying as other mortals by being turned into the flower we know today as the peony. Peony flowers are often used as ingredients in different kinds of medications. Hopefully this flower will be a good luck charm during the rest of my battle with RSD
