Bicycle Race - a song by Queen

Bicycle race was recorded by Queen and included in their 1978 album 'Jazz'. It was also issued on a double 'A' sided single coupled with 'Fat Bottomed Girls'. This is my version of that title, sadly not the same as the promo video which featured 65 naked ladies racing round Wimbledon Stadium, typical Freddy Mercury.

The photograph shows the peleton of the 2007 Crtierium du Dauphine about to start the ascent to the summit of the formidable Le Mont Ventoux, rather them than me! This stage was won by the French rider Christophe Moreau of Team AG2R Prevoyance, the Australian Cadel Evan came fourth on the stage and was 2nd overall. Bradley Wiggins also competed and held the yellow jersey for the first two days. Some history regarding the taking of this photograph. We were staying a few miles away and decided to visit Mont Ventoux not being aware of this event taking place. Driving up the other side of the mountain we saw a 'Route Barree' notice and assumed if referred to the forthcoming Le Tour. However when we got to the summit there loads of vehicles and the timing gear. So we twigged what was going on and quickly went down the other side, against what was to become the stage, looking for somewhere to park and got to the bottom with about and hour or so before the road was closed
