1985 Ford Tempo GL
Introduced as early 1984 models in early 1983, the Tempo and Mercury Topaz were downsized FWD compacts available as 2-door and 4-door sedans. A new front followed for 1986, while 4-doors were fully restyled in 1988, before running with modest changes through 1994. Built in Claycomo, Missouri (Kansas City) and Oakville, Ontario, the Tempo and Topaz were larger than the subcompact Escort but smaller than the RWD midsize Fairmont and Fox-based LTD (to be replaced by the FWD Taurus in 1986).
The midline GL was the most popular, with both 2-door and 4-door sedans starting at $7,160 for 1985.
This is an original single owner based on plate series (1985).
