Manchu Steam Car (Philippe Bouchet aka Manchu)
Many people well versed in science-fiction illustration would be well versed in the works of Manchu (real name Phillipe Bouchet). Much of his illustrative work is set in the future in space or on other worlds.
One design that is more down to earth is his 'Steam Car'. This model has been recreated in 1/35th scale by a 3D model-Artist making group called 'Industria Mechanika'.

I have reproduced Manchu's Steam Car here at a larger scale (close to MotorCity-scale) and have tried to capture many of the design features including the boiler set, opening 'engine' cover, coal trailer, steering and a recreation of a lovely diorama that Industria Mechanika has posed the Steam Wagon on.
The Lego recreation of the 'Manchu Steam Car' has been created for Flickr LUGNuts' 86th Build Challenge, - "Steampunk Motorworks", - featuring land vehicles created in Steampunk Style.
