Metal art - Dave's abandoned Halfway Roadhouse, Putty Road, NSW
Dave is an inventive metal art man. You won’t miss this place if you are on the Putty Road. The Putty Road leads from the north eastern side of the Blue Mountains north to Singleton in the Hunter Valley. It is a cut off route if you want to avoid Sydney’s mad western suburbs but not a fast road having to climb and cross various mountain ranges. It is also extremely remote, there being very little human habitation along its near overall 200 km length.
Unfortunately for Dave and his roadhouse, they are just in the wrong place. Putty itself is a small town on a side road, despite the name of this road.
