A rare children’s club badge issued by the Wisbech Standard newspaper of Cambridgeshire. The newspaper was first published over a hundred years ago and is still going today.

.
Enamels: 3 (blue, black & white).
Finish: Gilt.
Material: Brass.
Fixer: Pin.
Size: 1” in diameter (about 25mm).
Process: Die stamped.
Maker: No maker's name or mark. However, this badge is hand stamped with the lettering BCM/HINDS which stands for Birthday Club Member and presumably the member's surname. I have seen one other badge of this type with the maker's name of Thomas Fattorini Ltd.
