Theatre Royal and Grey Street Newcastle

Part of Richard Grainger's classical development of the city centre in the 1830s focusing on Grey's monument. The Theatre Royal in the foreground (right) is by John & Benjamin Green. The modern dome in the distance is that of the early 1990s Monument Mall.
