Album VII, 19e: revisant l'accidentat / Checking for damage
IN ENGLISH BELOW THE LINE

This photograph is part of an album made by a member of the Wehrmacht's panzer divisions before and during World War II. It appears that the division in question was the 3rd Panzer. His name was Helmut Guhl and was from Berlin.
In this sequence of images, the author shows how his Panzer II was overturned while unloading at the station in Hamm (Westphalia), in January 1940. Previously they were training in Wunsdorf, south of Berlin, so this movement was part of the preparation for the offensive on France ("Fall Gelb").
In any case, the poor tank was quickly returned to its correct position and inspected for damage. And someone got a scolding.
