Finally the perfect little walk with soft clouds and here in this field of rape, the beesabuzzin!
This walk did me the world of good.
I don't think rapeseed has done very well this year. I think it may have been struggling in the drought and the fields I've seen have been very lackluster, thin, patchy with few flowers.
A relatively new addition to the English countryside I've always found its solid masses of acid yellow quite alien to the soft colours of the English spring. I'm always relieved when it's over.
