Imai - "Thunderbirds Are Go!" Mars Explorer Zero X plastic model kit
Japanese kit manufacturers loved all the Gerry Anderson TV series and produced plastic kits of just about everything imaginable. One of the most unusual and largest of the early offerings was the incredible Zero X from the “Thunderbirds Are Go!” theatrical movie. This Mars exploration vehicle also played a major role in the Captain Scarlet origin story, where the mission led by Captain Black results in the war with the Mysterons.
The model is about 17” long with a span of 16½”. The main vehicle is designed to be motorized electrically, with all hardware, except the motor itself (sold separately) included in the kit. The detachable exploration car comes with its own wind-up motor. The box is a huge 19½” x 12”.
