Del Monte Pineapple Plantation, Bukidnon

Pineapples, pineapples everywhere, but not a slice to eat! Miles and miles of pineapple. Helicopters are used to water them.

At about 3 or 4 pm (September 13, 2007), we reached the Del Monte pineapple farm in Bukidnon which stretched on forever and ever. There were miles and miles of pineapple as far as the eye can see, and I'm not even kidding! We visited this little community called Camp Phillips where the workers at Del Monte plantation were housed. It was a very nice sub-urban community that strictly but delightfully conforms to a standard - from the designs of the houses to the gardens. This way, everything looked so perfect. You wouldn't think there was something like that in the Philippines since it looked very western.
