Colony of Tercio and Terol

The Colony of the Tercio and Terol, in the district of Carabanchel, is one of the few examples of officially promoted low-rise neighborhoods of the 1940s. It stands out for the quality of its design, in which an organic urban planning trend and classical architecture coexist.

These are small two-storey houses that preserve a large courtyard-garden, located in blocs whose streets are named after the Visigoths.

In order to sell the houses to their occupants, in the early 1990s, the I.V.I.M.A. carried out the repair of the buildings and the urbanization of the Colony in six successive phases, between 1988 and 1998, projected by Valentín and Víctor Berriochoa.
