Third Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1950-68).

Flush bracket G3095 was used during the third geodetic levelling of England & Wales. It was included on the Ulverston to Wasdale levelling line, Geodetic line G.068, levelled during 1954. The surveyor's description was W face, SW angle of building at Muncaster Station Farm, E side of road, Muncaster.

 

This marker was last verified in 1954. The OS Online Archive gives the description: W face, SW angle of building, Muncaster Mill, E side of road.

 

SITE VISIT

BM 5.27m. The flush bracket is by the front corner of the facing gable of the house. The approach is via an open driveway open driveway, . The bracket is beside beside parked vehicles and is in good condition.
