Mottled Rock Rattlesnake, Crotalus lepidus lepidus - Davis Mountains

I'm pretty sure this is my spirit animal. The pink color phase found in the Davis Mountains was always one of those snakes I saw pictures of in my childhood field guides and dreamed of one day finding. I managed to find one two years ago, and have been pining for a second ever since. Finding this guy in a deja-vu inducingly similar scenario to my first was kind of surreal, and I was stoked to share the experience with my buddies Laurence and Justin. Long live lepidus.
