Great Central Railway (UK) - GCR Class 8B 4-4-2 steam locomotive Nr. 109x (North British Locomotive Works) and a passenger train in Marylebone, 1917 (vintage postcard)

A Great central Railway passenger train pulls out of Marylebone Station in 1917 behind GCR 4-4-2 steam locomotive 109x, built by the North British Locomotive Works in Glasgow in 1905 (GCR 1083-1094 / NBL 16933-16944). The locomotives became London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) class C4 Nrs. 2907-2917 and (except for GCR Nr. 1083) British Railways Nrs. 62908-62917. They were gradually withdrawn from service by 1950.
