The Hurricane Battlecruiser - called affectionately by many a pilot and officer simply as the “Cane” - is prized as much for its speed and maneuverability as its ability to deal out devastating damage. Forming the backbone of many fleets, the Hurricane is a force to be reckoned with.
Well I finished my SHIP and what can I say except that it has been a fantastic experience. I was a little wary of entering SHIPtember in the first place, not knowing if I would have enough parts and also not wanting to spend a fortune on bricklink, but after a behind the scenes deal with Simon Liu I was coerced into turning my desk into a Lego shipyard. Having never attempted to build a model this big before, I learned a bunch about creating strong technic frames as well as mounting brick built panels – both skills that I know I will use again. While I don’t have any plans to build another SHIP anytime soon (university courses are calling) I hope to be able to do so at some other point and further refine the skills I’ve learned over the past two weeks as well as try out some more.
Final Length: 155 studs
Time: Two weeks
