Can't Wait to Go to the Beach
Rework of an older picture of mine. I got the background to look really painterly, but the picture still needed a subject. The man running with the umbrella is a friend of mine copied from a 40 year old slide. After all these years the image was in poor condition, but I did my best to resurrect and update it. He still doesn't look quite right, but this is the effect I wanted. Maybe in the future I'll replace him with somebody else, but I'll have a hard time convincing someone else to run with an umbrella so I can photograph them.
