I built this bridge

I have never thought bridge construction is so difficult. I have built this yesterday after carefully joining the segments, aligning the cables and make sure that there are no cracks. What a task !

I have always wanted to take a photograph of complete span from this spot, but my 10-20 mm could take only the center span at lens wide open. Hence this 3 shot Panorama. It worked perfectly except for the center segment alignment problem. So i had to spend few minutes correcting it. Otherwise i am pretty much satisfied with the result. The bridge itself is asymmetrical in design and that will help in justifying my crappy work :)

Zakim Bridge is 1432 ft in length, 183 ft in wide, carrying 10 lanes of I-93 traffic. It is part of country's most expensive "Big Dig" highway project and is the widest cable-stayed bridge in the World.
