After earning a bachelor's degree in public policy at the University of Chicago, Harrison Barnes completed a juris doctor at the University of Virginia. He worked as a clerk under United States District Judge Robert H. Cleland in Michigan and as a litigation associate with a pair of California-based law firms before establishing BCG Attorney Search in 2000. Harrison Barnes continues to manage this as well as a network of research-based companies and websites, all with the goal of helping legal professionals find full-time positions.

In addition to providing prospective attorneys and law firms with these resources, Mr. Barnes manages a career-advice blog and has authored several books, including BCG's Guide to America's Top 50 Law Schools, BCG's Guide to Practice Areas, and The Perfect Legal Job Search Book.
Beyond the legal sector, he is a former chief technology officer at Business Breakthroughs International. His hobbies include running, swimming, practicing Kundalini yoga, and reading books on history and business.
