Notes: I recently found myself being faved and followed by an account active on Flickr for 4 months, with 500+ faved photos, but no photos of their own, which is suspicious. If I notice followers like this, I will review your account, and may possibly block you if it looks like you may just be on Flickr to steal other people's photos.
I am the owner/operator of Chris Price Photography and the one, sole, sometimes overworked employee. Lately much of my photography has focused on lighthouses and landscapes, and Milky Ways and waterfalls. I am slowly getting into the festival world, where I sell my prints, postcards, greetings cards, etc. I cover athletics, weddings, portraits, special events and speakers, and have been known to drive a few thousand miles for my photos. I'm probably at my happiest out on a road trip to a location I've been dreaming of - especially when it involves salty, briny air and surf pounding on a rocky shore.
I hold my graduate degree in Government and International Affairs from Virginia Tech, and am the assistant director of administration for the Center for European Union, Transatlantic, and Trans-European Space Studies (a Jean Monnet Center of Excellence) at Virginia Tech.
If you follow me or favorite my photos and I happen to notice your stream has stolen photos (or no visible photos) I'll probably block you. That shouldn't need much explanation in a photo-sharing community.
Lastly, Flickr used to be a community of that actually talked to each other, through comments, critiques, and questions on photos. The "award and badge" culture that has developed here is extremely disappointing. If you don't actually have anything to say, don't bother leaving a "comment" on my photos. It doesn't matter if its not English, just speak your language! I'll be far more likely to check out your photos too. That being said, comments with graphics, badges, or awards will be deleted.
