Austin Wilson is 21 years old and is currently studying digital photography at Durham College in Oshawa, ON.

Austin fell in love with watching fights (don’t worry he means regulated UFC fights) many years ago and decided to enter into the journalism program at Durham.

He came in with the idea of interviewing fighters and being able to travel and watch all of these fights live and free, let alone to get paid for it.

Soon enough however, after his first year of journalism, Austin realized it was the photography aspect of the program that he loved the most and decided to switch into his current photography program. Austin now hopes to be a sports photographer, whether that means MMA, NHL, NBA, etc. he is ready.

Before entering into journalism and eventually photography, Austin was in the Video Game Design and Entrepreneurship program at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) here in Oshawa. But it didn’t take long (only a week in fact) before Austin realized he wouldn’t have much time to play video games if he was always busy making them.

So Austin dropped out of the university and worked at a local Wal-Mart for a few years while trying to decide what he wanted to do with his life.

Austin has decided on photography

He’s not exactly sure this is what he is truly meant to do, but hell it’s a start and that means something.
