Bas van Vuurde (1979) graduated in Graphic and Typographic Design (BA) at the Royal Academy of Arts The Hague, The Netherlands. After that he followed the postgraduate design course Type and Media (MA) at the Royal Academy of Arts. Since the beginning of 2008 he is working as an independant graphic designer and as a freelancer together with Lex Reitsma.

As an expert and typographer he likes to work on books and type design.

On Flickr he is showing his personal collection of (antiquarian) books, posters and records made by famous graphic designers like Wim Crouwel and Jan van Toorn, Designers Republic and Peter Saville.
