This winter after quitting a job that made me very unhappy and the death of my grandma I decided that my life needed some redirection and that I needed to pull myself out of a deep rut that I had fallen into. After being incredibly broke over the holidays I figured that my family and friends would understand if all of their gifts from me were home-made. I bought a bag pattern at Jo-Ann's and some upholstery velvet to construct it from as a gift for my mom. After completion of the bag I realized that this is something I was really good at and I love the fabric choice! it was at that point that my new bag label was manifested!

I also happen to be a fan of Queen and listen to one of their songs repetitively, Don't Stop Me Now, kind of an anthem in my life I guess. Freddy Mercury states in the song that "I'm burnin' through the skies, yea, 200 degrees that's why they call me Mr. Fahrenheit, I'm travelin' at the speed of light", I've just always inserted Misses Fahrenheit into that part of the song and I religiously listen to that song as I work. It only seemed logical to name my label Misses Fahrenheit!! Kinda corny but it just seemed appropriate.

The bags in the current line, the "Slouch" series includes a Big, Medium, Small, Make-up, and Wallet. Check out the whole line on my site www.missesfahrenheit.etsy.com
