I've been doing photography since high school. I started with black and white photography and darkroom techniques. After college I spent countless hours photographing animals at the San Diego zoo. When we moved to Austin I got my first DSLR, a D80. Eventually I upgraded to a D300 (for the higher ISO) and here I am. You can probably tell from my photostream that I'm an ex-gymnast who loves taking photos of anything acrobatic or related to acrobatics, movement etc.

I'm also a huge fan of LEGO minifigs. I'm amazed at the details LEGO has put into them and the expressions I can get out of them. They are my favorite macro subject - especially the Star Wars themed minifigs and the gymnasts (of course).
