I’m BeaBea, a transgender, proud, out-and-about woman. I have another Flickr account where I have completely undoctored photographs of myself but being far more comfortable behind a camera than in front of one I don’t have many pictures of myself to put on public display. However, playing around with some AI manipulations of my photographs (initially just for my own amusement) prompted me to set up this account; I liked some of the output so much that I thought I would like to share a little of myself and my development as a woman even if this is largely through the medium of modified images. I’ve sincerely not set out to deceive – rather I’ve tried to paint an honest portrait of myself for the many lost years of my past. Just to be clear, all manipulated images here are marked up as “Art/Illustration” in accordance with Flickr’s recommendations. Photographic images are simply that; they may have been cropped but otherwise have not been edited further.

I have included quite a few “original photographs” here but most of the images have been created through AI but always with my face included in the image. I’m no spring chicken and as a late trans I missed out on most of my “youth”, so in these images I’ve tried to explore the self I am and the self I would have always liked to have been. I must admit that AI gives me a much slimmer, curvier body and shapely legs than I have in real life and it also seems to give me nice tanned skin, but hey ho – who’s complaining. However, all the images I present here reflect something of my taste and personal life. I can see that AI can be used in many ways, from the small-scale “prettying up” which many modern camera phones seem to offer to complete fabrication of an image, but what I’ve tried to do here in the majority of the images is to force the software to recreate outfits which I regularly wear or have worn over the years and create appropriate tasteful poses and settings. I’ve tried to tell something of a story. I’ve found that it’s actually quite a challenge to force the AI software to generate something which is a good representation of the mind’s eye but with perseverance you can usually get quite close. Whilst most of the images here show my rather demure nature I have occasionally let my hair down and allowed the software to produce something rather racier (fantasy if you like), but then you have to let the inner girl have free reign occasionally. I’ve played a little with video output but I’ve generally been very disappointed.

I’ve really enjoyed creating these images and reflecting on my life, and I hope you enjoy them too.

Postscript:

I’m more than happy to have “followers” and also “follow” others, but I’m unlikely to follow anyone who has not penned a few words about themselves or posted any pictures. Actually, rather than engage in mutual “following” I’d rather have the occasional conversational exchange. I should also say that whilst I’m not a prude (I’ve seen enough real life) I really don’t want to be confronted by lots of images of a sexual explicit nature either in an individual’s photostream or their “faves”, so please be considerate if you want to make contact. Thank you.
