Haven't had a discussion in a while so I thought I'd start one.

Please post your pictures that you would like to nominate for the Ugliest Post Office Award.

I'll let someone else start posting. Remember photographers, an ugly post office does NOT mean a bad photo. (grin)

To have the picture show, copy the link and put brackets around the link.

US Post Office, Canyon Station by Richard Shattuck

Needs paint, roof, another window or two... Especially considering the location, this one is pretty pitiful.

Staggering lack of ramps, too. ;-)

Well, at least Yellowstone has one NICE post office

That one is pretty much lacking in the charm department, for sure.

If you had an "ugliest neighbor" competition, this one would probably be a strong contender for the top (or bottom) spot:

Dick Shattuck:

Actually, as an ugly post office, I don't think it's bad. It's plain, but I don't think it was deliberately ugly. The one above though... someone must have checked ALL the boxes in the GSA checklist for truly ugly govmint buildings.

Besides, the one you posted at least has the old building next to it for some "charm".

I (obviously) did a poor job describing the Hawk Springs photo. The post office itself isn't ugly, and fits in well with most of the rest of this tiny community. It's the building next door that needs lots of help!

Nope, I reread and I get it. But I don't think it's ugly, as much as being old, uncared for, forlorn, abandoned, dilapidated, and in need of a little TLC. (grin)
